Proxy Device

Proxy is a 3rd party vendor hardware device, that scans bluetooth signals from user's phones to identify who owns the signature.

Experiment findings

  • The reader would be intermitten in reading the signals

  • When users walked to the device, it would pick up the person in front or behind intermittently

  • Difficult for front desk to know who is being registered since it would not pick up the nearest person to the device.
